Two Advance Agents Of Reptile Family DieTime to watch your step in the woods) Two rattlers were knocked off and the big one got away from a party at Miller Farm yesterday afternoon. John Magnus and Bud Smidonsky of Homestead, Dave Devey of Duquesne Boad, George Miller. Sr„ and his sons, George, Jr., and Wayne, of Grand Valley were hiking in the Miller Farm region just above Jones run in what is known as Rattlesnake Hollow, when the three reptiles were sighted.George Miller, Jr., who was carrying a single-shot .22 caliber rifle, dispatched two of the rattlers, but the third escaped in the excitement. The two dead, snakes were brought to this city and exhibited. One measured 44 inches and the other 50 inches. The former had 10 rattles and the long one 13 or 14.The elder Miller told a Herald man that it is early for rattlers to be abroad. Icicles were still along the run where -the snakes were sighted.
