Floyd, was born Jan. 6,1855, near Hobbieville, and went to her home nlt; in the spirit land April 26, 1915, aged sixty years, three months and twen* ty days. atShe was the daughter of Armstead and Eliza Flynn. She was married g: to James S. Floyd Oct. 15, 1874. She is survived by her husband and the following children, who were by her side when her spirit went away: pj Mrs. Etta Haywood, of Furnace; Mrs. Ida Rader, of Mineral; Everett Floyd, of Furnace; Harrison Floyd, of Taylor township; Morton Floyd, of near Koleen; Raymond and Vernon Floyd, of Furnace. One child died infancy, and Mrs. Oma Stewart died in 1908. She is also survived by two brothers, James Flynn, of Lyons, and and Thomas Flynn, of Illinois; and by two sisters, Mrs. Jerry Boruff and Mrs. Willis Johnson, of Lyons. She has eight grand-children living.Mrs. Floyd became a member of the Christian church at Bethel, in Jackson township, in 1874, and until the day she went away she remained faithful. She loved the house of God, and when able, attended regularly at the services thereof, and while not of a demonstrative nature, her gentle demeanor and consecrated spirit were manifest to all those who come in contact with her. Her patience, fortitude and utmost confidence in the future, were an example to those who knew her. j anShe was a good wife, mother, j wj-friend and neighbor. Her friends were many.The funeral was held at her home inear the Richland Mills, yesterday forenoon. The services were conducted by Elder J. A. Spencer.
