EITHERTilwaFraternal Sanitarium Site \s Believed to have Narrowed to These SllC Two Cities.El Paso Times, April 25.I'he National Fraternal sanitarium coinuiittee closed up its second trip totiiis section last night and departed for HprW# I A..U It Ā» m.lkik *satmeo-St, Louis over the Hock Island at 7:30 j last nijrht. The members of the committee had arrived Sunday from Alamogordo and spent two days here investigating different things in relation to El Paso which will have a great deal to do with swinging it to either Doming or Alamogordo.According to the members of the committee, it is desirable that the sanitarium be located In the vicinity of a city of considerable size for several reasons. If it is located near some large city, much more advantageous freight rates can be secured and In an establishment J the size of the proposed community this is no small item. The question of railroad passenger facilities is also an important feature and these two facts will do much to help select either Deming orAlamogordo. The latest idea to develop is connection with the establishment of this community is the industrial settlement plan. This is regarded as a good scheme on a small scale at least, since it would enable the community to supply many of its minor needs and at the same time given many of them some light, profitable employment.A meeting of the thirty directors of the National Fraternal congress hasbeen called for Mav 1. At this timeā¢comparative statistics of the threeplaces, Las Vegas, Deming and Alamogordo will be presented and weighed. Then the location which has the largest number of good features will be select ed and the information given to the public at large. Thus it is given as a very conservative estimate that within two weeks the decision w ill have been made public. Following this, work will at once be started on moving the temple of fraternity to the site selected.Ir
