—The Christian Women’s Board of Missions of the Maple Street Christian Church, Lackland, held their first informal social at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. M. V. Roberts, Maple street. It was an enjoyable affair. After an elegant menu was served the following programme was rendered: Instrumental solo, Clifford Odren; vocal solo, Miss Ma-linda Smith; quartet by the Excelsior Quartet, Mrs. E. Roberts, Miss Malinda Smith, Messrs. H. Overstreet and M. V. Roberts; declamation, Miss Lucy Dickerson; declamation, Mrs. McDonald; solo, Mrs. E Roberts; declamation, Miss Lucy Dickerson; song, Excelsior Quartet; instrumental solo, Miss Mamie Odren. Among the number present were: Mr. and Mrs. N. W. Roberts, Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Connor, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Renfro, Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Roberts, Mrs. L. Hunt, Mrs. L. Brown, Mrs. Amanda Clark, Mrs. Maggie McDonald, Mrs. DePrad, Mrs. Lucas, Mrs. George Derrickson, Mrs. Batis, Mr. and Mrs. Overstreet, Mrs. Franklin, Mrs. Willis, Miss L.
