Everts of Glidden | was the guest speaker at-the? fin-! al meeting for the season of tlie Alpha Delphian chapter, which was held last evening in the city library. Members had the privilege ‘ :f taking guests. lt;iI Mrs. L. G. Patty presided, an-! flouncing the program and intro- j ducing the speaker. The opening; number was a piano solo: Romance * by Fibelins, played by Mrs. Kenneth K. Holley.iThe Summary of Art was the • ubject of the address by Mrs. Everts, who exhibited a number of prints from famous artists. She . portrayed the history of art in the -various countries and its evolution. She also gave advice for the use of pictures in the home, stressing the fact they should be chosen as to coloring, framing and placement. Among Mrs. Everts' collection was a set of books made by herself in which she had classified prints of famous pictures as to countries, which were of much in- *.iterest to those present. It took her eight years to gather the prints,| which were mostly obtained from j magazines, calendars and other periodicals and they were of much ■ benefit to her in her study of art. •i%The program clcsed with a vio- ' Un solo, Hungarian Dance, by Brahms, played by Miss Catherine Dcr.ny and accompanied by Mrs.' Holley.
