ADDITIONAL LOCAL. #-AGAIN AT IT.Irene Taylor, the Bad Actress, Whips a Newspaper Correspondent.A Motlier Break of Hit* Tough Tli^Ulrica 1 filing Who Ontc Became Notorious Here.An exchange to-day prints the following account of a sensational occurrence in London, Ohio, yesterday:“Irene Taylor of the Irene Taylor Dramatic company drove to London from Ml Sterling this afternoon and cowhided II C. Smart, correspondent of the Columbus Times, in front of Bold'c slice store. During an engagement of the company here last week, Smart took io every entertainment on his credentials as correspondent of the Times, and on its departure wrote them up aa barn-storiners. Miss Taylor was accompanied by her business manager, Mr. Montague, who first gave Smart a terrible tongue lashing, after which he turned to join the lady who was seated in a carriage, and the matter ruight have ended thus had not Smart thrust his hands in his pocket and asked: “How much do I owe you for that ?” Miss Taylor then sprang from the buggy, whip in hand, and severely lashed the young man across the face. A struggle then ensued between the two in which the whip was broken in two, after which the actress flapped Smart three or four times in the face, got into the buggy any drove away/Irene Taylor will be remembered by our people as a bad, very bad actress, supported by a worse company, who opened a week's engagement in this city last fall, and was canceled by the management of the Opera House after the fir3t performance.The performance was simply awful, and the Advocate at that time said so, commenting at the same time on the falsity of Irene's diamonds, which were “starred'7 by the company.
