Barbara Graham as Mis* Oool-Idge led the Coolldge float which was a real-'Deep South' .medley — a huge watermelon wedge with Living seeds, rows pf cabbages,tad a background of pines. A musical medleey of Southern tunes were sung by. Coolidge students representing f) s2d hands and seeds of the melon. Lynn Gandy was the water boy, Nevelle Powell andBobby Jack Southerland, the vocalists, Ronald Brock played man dolin, Swayne Barnes the ao* cordian, Emmitt King the fiddle and Lindsey Bannister the steel guitar. The seeds were Brenda Gardner, Faye Pilkinton, Edward Blackburn, Carol Leath, jMike Pilkinton, Mae‘Powell, Shirley Nesmith, Donnie Lee Smith, Duane Suber, Keith Bannister, Bill En-trekln, Kendle Hicks, Joe Entrekln, Linda Wilson, Harriet Murphy, Keith Pilkinton, Judy Dekle, Mary Jo Smith, Tommy Warren, Gale smith, Darlene Parramore, LyndaMurphy, Ravonda Graham, Mary Sherrod, June Carter, Ameralece Barnes, Shelva Jean Barnes, Larry and Jerry Cone, Iris Barrow, Winston Sherrod, Nancy Smith, Lynda Powell and Pay Rehberg. Their song was an original medley, composed for the occasion.
