SUCH IS THE HOPE OF THE DIRECTORS — APPEAL -FOR BOOKS AXD FUNDS.The book committee \ of the library board is at work cm a list o£ new books for the public library. This year the funds at their disposal are necessarily small and it ‘t would be very much appreciated if any haying books- or money which they are willing to donate would do so at this time so that the new bttilding may have, a good stock .when opened to the public. Almost everyone has books on their shelves which they hare read and enjoyed and Which in this way they would make available for the enjoyment of many others. No one need hesitate for fear of d’upiieation as- it is desirable to have several copies of the same books, particularly recent fiction.Marshall now has a: building beautiful in its appointments and in every way fitted. to. minister to the needs of the community. As fast as possible the committee will stock its shelves, but feeling sure that there are many who will gladly help in the good work they wish to make this appeal to the public. It is planned to move- into the new building early in May, and donations may be left at any time with Mrs. W. J. Dibble, or a list of Intended donations seat to any member of the committee, which is composed of Mrs. W- J. Dibble, Mrs. E. B. Stuart, Miss Monk and F. A. Stuart.
