The 30 second television commercial has been named by Advertising Age columnist Harry Wayne McMann as one of the top 100 com mercials from a field of over 14,000. Filmed for Hunt Wesson Foods, marketers of Orville Redenbacher popping corn, the commerical titled Cop features Redenbacher and a ticket writing police officer. R.D. McHargue, retired Clay extension officer who lives in Brazil, recalls riding back and forth to Purduewith Redenbacher when they were students there. Redenbacher was graduated from Purdue in 1929. He was a vocational agriculture teacher at Fontanet and later was Vigo County Ex tension Agent before becoming manager of Princeton Farms. Later, he started his Orville Redenbacher popping corn firm. When he was growing up, his family lived on a farm now owned by Glenn Kirchner, located slightly over a mile west of SR 59 on SR42.
