Donk, head of the EDcnk Bros Coal and Coke Company 3f St. Louis, was a Troy visitor.Dan G. Jones and Bert Watt were lamed as census enumerators for rroy and Jarvis township respective-Long Agoand third wards.Adam Flath, Sr., purchased the former Hassinger residence property in the east end from Wm. Sudhoff. August Droll also sold two lots in the east end to Frank A. Collins. The remains of Winfield Potts,who WOS klltwl in a railroad accident, were brought to Troy for burial. Deceased, who was 23 years of age, was a .son of Mrs. Frances An-drews Coleman, a native of Troy.The Troy Athletic Association was organized with the following officers: Thomas Millett, Jr., president; Herman Schmacker. vice president; Arthur J. Lewis, secretary; R. C. Morriss, treasurer, and G. L. Elliott,C. F. Kueker, Walter Wilkinson, V.D. Coons and R. F. Auwarter, di-Kcmiree college, gave an entertainment in St. Paul’s auditorium.Mary Naomi, infant daughter of Mr?. Edna and the late Charles Kr.echt was christened at the Evangelical parsonage by Bev. J. Dippcl.The No. 17 mine owned by the Consolidated Coal Company and located southwest of Collinsville, suffered a $30,000 loss when the engine house and office w*ere destroyed by fire.Mrs. Fred H. Gornet underwent an operation in the Deaconfcsa hospital in St. Louis. Mrs. Henry De Baas suffered a stroke of paralysis and Miss Nellie Henderson was seriously ill w'ith pneumonia,Frank Snodgrass was elected president of the grade school board of education and Wm. A. KimJberlin and Wm. H. Wild were elected as members. Robert C. Morriss was also re-elected as a mem'ber of the high school board.
