The Mesquakie Indians, living in : Tama county, have organized the Student-Parent association for mutual benefit and co-operation in the education of Iowa Indians. It is similar in scope to the white man’s P.T.A. organization but is the first organization for the advancement of Indian education. The group will co-operate with instructors in the Montour schools where Indian children attend public school.
