Th** C’«*l**l»rat .....Some of tfie Fourth of July committee visited the business men of Kern yesterday to find out what they would do in behalf of the celebration,and they are gratified to announce that these gentlemen are enthusiastically in favor of the proposition and promised all the aid possible. Good for our neighbor. She never hesitates about anything that pertains to progress or enterprise.While there they also visited Agent Fairchild and he assured them that the Southern Pacific would do the right thing about passenger rates, and thus a glorious Fourth is gradually and substantially insured.The committee will hold a meeting this evening in Dr. Bethel’s dental parlors to formulate its report to be handed in at the meeting next Tuesday evening.
