West struck out 94men and gave up only U hits, j He had four no-hit games. 1The Kappa Sigs won eight consecutive games to take the championship- starting with a victory by Bill Hudson over the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Hudson was hurt in that game and couldn’t pitch any more.During the drive to the championship, three hitters paced the Kappa Sigs. They were Mike Bayless with a .481 average. West with a .450 mark and Cordell Custer with a .360 percentage.The Kappa Sigma team now enters the all-college tournament to decide the Tech softball champion.
