Van Yleit ; a copper ax, seven inches long, and three inches wide across the edge, over one inch at the head, found on the farm of Henry Gilman, Plymouth, Sheboygan county, a gift from Mr. Gilman : a cuneiform inscription on a piece of stone or marble, about two by five inches in size, from the walls of ancient Nine veh. brought to this country in Dec 1S57: by Mrs. Eliza Crane, widow of Rev. Edwin H. Crane, on American missionary who died in Persia in 1854 ; and this interesting specimen was obtained by the American missionaries in that country in or about! 1S56—from Col, L. H. D. Crane.
