W. J. McGee. of the bureau of ethnology, is ex pet ted at the Tama Indian reservation in a few days to make a thorough study of the habits and conditions of 'the Indians for publication in the ethnological reports. Mr. McGee has earned distinction in his specialty, and he is more than ordinal ily interested in Iowa since he was born in Dubuque. He has been connected with the Tnited States geological survey and he made a tniM/graphical map of northeastern Iowa, a model of which Is in the historical rooms at the state house. Itshows every stream, hill and valley in that part of the state and represents an immense amount of work.
