The council said the limit then will be raised to 17.500 tickets.Russo and Blow want to schedule 20 concerts a year. They will try to limit the number of performances per month “to give people time to catch their breath” and to reduce congestion during the center’s first year of operation. Russo said.Beer will be sold at most concerts, and strict rules will be followed so that no one underage or intoxicated is consuming alcohol, said Russo, a father of five. He also said no alcohol can be brought into the stadium and “tailgate parties” will not be tolerated.“We are extremely conscious ofpublic drinking. We will not allow it on or off the property,” he said.It is unlikely the activity for which the stadium was built — professional baseball — will be there this year or next, other than a May 7 game between the Univeristy of Maine and UCLA. Local high schools also plan a few games this spring.“We have gone out of our way to make the stadium available for baseball” before May 7. when the permanent concert stage will be built, Russo said.Concerts that have been confirmed include the following.■ May 20.
