OF C„ MINSTRELS IChorus Work of HighOrder, Sketches Cleverly Doneby col-an ef-was ofpleasing Florence !A list on Council, K. of C., gave it? annual Spring gambol last evening in the form of a minstrel show and dance in St Anthony's School Hall. Allston. The hall, which is the largest in the district, was packed, and the imposing minstrel front tilled every available inch of the groat stage. The performance will he repeated this evening at S.Attractive costumes, enhanced ored lighting, effects, produced fective scene. The chorus work decidedly high orderThe company numbered about 200. The program carried the usual sketches which go to make up a well-balanced perfornianoev and all of these were ■ cleverly presented.The show was directed by Patrick J Anglin, assisted by Miss Katherine Olson. Arthur Leary was interlocutor and the end men. among whom were some of Allston’s best-known amateur funmakers. included Frank Riley, Hugh Casey, Rdward Artesani, Ignatius Le* ban. Jack Mclsaac. Thomas Fardy, Don Riley and Frank O’Loughlin.Frank Riley led a plantation sketch in which appeared Arthur Hickman. William McKennev, Paul Carey, Samuel Young. Henry Riley, William Halllgan and Clinton McQueen.A group of girls put on a Irish sketch in which Miss Holaapfel was the soloist and Miss Alice Everett gave a solo dance. Others in this group were Misses Josephine Ryan, Helen Pardis, Genevieve Ryan, i Alice Farrington, Elizabeth Brenner,| Helen Gleason and Winifred Kean.In the clown sketch Meribah Timmins i was the soloist, assisted by William Mannix, Edward Kenney, James Con-I dlt; n. James Sproules, Joseph O’Loughlin, Peter Winstanley, John Mullen, Thomas Pembroke. Elizabeth Deehan. Dorothy Guthro. Rose Logue. Doris Farrington, Mary Crimlisk, Mary Price and Barbara Holzapfel and Anna Duffy.Miss Rose Benner was the soloist in a flirtation sketch. With her were Joseph ! Facy, Frank McGinnis. Joseph Tighe,: Frank Dardis, Norbert Mclnnis, Thomas Ford. Edward Rood. Edward Flanagan, , William Garfield. Alban B. Mclnnis, Viola Neary. Dorothy Guthro. Agnes i ; Timmins. Mae Lawson, Catherine j O’Brien, Marion Macitgan. Marie Hooper, i Loretta Keegan and Gertrude Coffee.Pleasing ballads were sung bv Miss Anna Ryan. Miss Katherine Olson and Joseph Antonelli. Miss Olson also contributed a dancing specialty. Harry .Stone was the soloist in the Anal© by the K. of C. minstrels.The tambo girls were Misses Helen Crimlisk. Man’ Kenney. Elizabeth Hurley.
