A listnn Counr.il, K. of C,. gave it« annual Spring: gambol last evening: in the form of n minstrel show and dance in StAnthony’s School Hall. Allston. The hall, which is the largest in the district, was packed, and the imposing minstrel front filled every available inch of thegreat stage. The performance will be repeated this evening atAttractive costumes, enhanced by colored lighting, effects, produced an effective scene. The chorus work was of decidedly high orderThe company numbered about 200. The program carried the usual sketches which go to make up a well-balanced performance^ and all of these were cleverly presented.The show was directed by Patrick J Anglin, assisted by Miss Katherine Olson. Arthur Leary was interlocutor and the end men. among whom were some of Allston’s best-known amateur funmakers. included Frank Riley, Hugh Casey, Edward Artesani, Ignatius Le-han. Jack Mclsaac. Thomas Fardy, Don Riley and Frank O’Lough 1 in.Frank Riley led a plantation sketch in which appeared Arthur Hickman. William McKenney. Paul Carey, Samuel Young. Henry Riley, William Halligan and Clinton McQueen. tA group of girls put on a pleading Irish sketch in which Miss Florence Holiapfel was the soloist and Miss Alice Everett gave a solo dance. Others in this group were Misses Josephine Ryan, Helen Dardis, Genevieve Ryan.i Alice Farrington. Elizabeth Brenner, j Helen Gleason and Winifred Ivean.In the clown sketch Meribah Timmins l was the soloist, assisted by William Mannix, Edward Kenney, James Con-' fit n. James Sproules, Joseph O’Loughlin. Peter Winstanley, John Mullen, Thomas Pembroke. Elizabeth Deehan. Dorothy Outhro. Rose Logue. Doris Farrington,Mary Crimlisk, Mary Trice and Barbara Holzapfel and Anna Duffy.Miss Rose Benner was the soloist in a flirtation sketch. With her were Joseph Faey, Frank McGinnis. Joseph Tighe, Frank Dardis, Norbert Mclnnis, Thomas Ford, Edward Rood. Edward Flanagan, William Garfield. Alban B. Mclnnis, Viola Neary, Dorothy Guthro. Agnes Timmins. Mae Lawson, Catherine O’Brien, Marion Madigan. Marie Hooper. Loretta Keegan and Gertrude Coffee.; Pleasing ballads were sung by Miss i Anna Ryan. Miss Katherine Olson and j Joseph Antonelll.
