FATAL FALL DOWN STAIRStb Mrs. Adam Adams Meets With Tragic Death Last Week—Funeral Held on Monday.As the result of a deplorable accident, which occurred at the home of Peter Trierweiler. Jr., 320 Water street, last Thursday evening, Mrs. Adam Adams passed away at the Trierweiler home the following Saturday morning at 2 o’clock. The death st of this good woman ia most regrettableand is a ahock to her many friends and acquaintances.About G:30 o'clock Thursday evening Mrs. Adams left her home, 213 Mill street, to go to a groeery store on Clark street to purchase some garden seeds, and on her way stopped at the Trierweiler home. After visiting there for a few minutes, she started to leave the living room, out of which there are two doors, close together, one leading into the kitchen and the other opening into a cellarway. Accidentally Mrs. Adams opened the latter and before realizing her mistake, lost her balance and fell to the bottom of the stairs. The ladies who had been with her in the room screamed, and bearing this and bIbo the noise of the fall, Mr. Trierweiler, who was doing Borne work in the basement at the time, ran to Mrs. Adams' assistance and with the help of others carried her up stairs and a physician was summoned. It was later found that her right arm and leg bad been paralyzed by the fall and she never regained consciousness.The maiden name of the now deceased lady was Lottie Springer and she was born at Michaelsdorf, Austria, on Sept. 15, 1851, and was therefore nearly sixty-four yearB of age. At the age of fifteen years she eame to America to make her home with an uncle who lived at Grand Kapids, this state. In 1872 she was married to Joseph Schwebach and came to this city to reside, Mr. Schwebach being proprietor of a hotel located just west of The Gazette office, where the Wisconsin State bank now stands. Two sons were born to Mr. and Mrs. Schwebach, Joseph, who lives at Kalamazoo, Mich., and Emil of this city. The husband died March 14, 1884, and the widow was married to Adam Adams on September 13, 1885. They became the parents of ono son, Roman Adorns. Besides her husband and three eons, MrB. AdamB is survived by her aged mother. Mrs. Springer of McDill, ono brother, Frank Springer, and two sisters, Mrs. John Pauckert of McDill, and a twin sister. Mrs. Kessler, who still resides at the native home in Austria.Mrs. Adams will be greatly missed in her -home circle and among many friends whom she made because of numerous good qualities and pleasing characteristics. Her accomplishments in the culinary art were well known and her services in this line were much sought in church work and always cheerfully given. A good Christian woman has passed to her eternal reward. She was a member of St. Celia Court, No. 185, Woman’s Catholic Order of Foresters, and at the time of her death held the ofiice of trcaeurer.Funeral services were held from St. Stephen's Catholic rhoreheat 9 o’clock Monday morning, Rev. W, J. Rice officiating. Members of the Ladies’ Altar Society and Foresters were present in a body.F. A. Krembs, Pel or Trierweiler, Jr., Peter Bonertz, N. Berens, John Schmidt and G. W. Hein acted as pallbearers and among those present from outside the city were Joseph Schwebach and wife of Kalamazoo, Micb., Roman AdamB of PiitBburg, Frank Springer of Milwaukee and the Misses Theresa* and Laura Schinidt of Merrill.Beautiful floral offerings were contributed by friends, os follows: Carnations, Mr. and Mrs. H.
