The public is invited.The pastor and members of the United Pentecostal Holiness church, are most, grateful to friends, both whit# and colored, who contributed so generously to the recent drive for building funds.It is the plan of the -church to erect in the near future a kitchen arid dining room to take care of meals at special meetings held in the church.In the initial drive $200 was received and any further gifts will be greatly appreciated by the members.Rev. She was accompanied by her daughter, Miss Katie Martin.Mrs. O. L. Johnson spent Friday in Roanoke on business.Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cocker-ham have as their guest this week Mr. and Mrs. Roosevelt Mc-Mibkle of Wilmington, N. C.; Paul McMickle of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. James McMickle of Washington. James McMickle recently returned from over seas, where he served two years in New Guinea and was slightly wounded.Those attending a community meeting at King’s mountain training school, Abington, Tuesday were the Rev. F. D. Thomas and principal V. B. BroadneauxMrs. John Jenkins entered the University for observation. She was accompanied by Miss Elizabeth Jenkins and Dr. M. A. Cruz.
