Beatlia*Caroline Edson, widow of the late Charles P. Edson, died Tuesday at her home on West Main street, at the advanced age of 87 years. She came to this town from Portage county in 1842, and has therefore resided here for 52 years. Since her hnsband’s death in 1883 she lived with her son, Geo. F. Edson, until his death last December, since which time her home has been with her danghter-in-law. The deceased possessed a pure Christian spirit, and was beloved by all those near her. Among her more remarkable traits of character was her unfailing purpose to keep posted on political and current events of the day. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the house, followed by inter • ment in Woodland.
