Under the leadership of the late Rev. Robert H. “Bob” Doan and the Rev. Elden Pauley, the revival produced fruit that continues to grow today. A group of dedicated Christians emerged from these services and were determined to continue God’s work. They met in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Renfro and, on June 12, 1955, organized the Bradley Free Will Baptist Church.The first pastor was the Rev. Doan, who arranged for the church to purchase the Renfro home for church services. A radio program was broadcast from the church’s sanctuary each Sunday afternoon.IilThrough generous giving by the congregation and friends, money and labor were made available for a larger building. Cooper became pastor. He was followed by the Rev. Daniel Legg, the Rev. Gene Hall, the Rev. Gerald Kelley, the Rev. Guy Owens and the Rev. James Stanley. Legg was chosen to serve the congregation on three separate occasions and has conducted a radio broadcast from the church for the past 10 years. “The Soul Winning Hour airs on WJLS at 11 a.m. Monday through Friday.During the pastorate of the Rev. Kelley, the present sanctuary and additional Sunday school rooms were built and dedicated on June 1,1986. The new sanctuary was added later and was dedicated Jan. 17,1965.The current pastor, the Rev. R.
