Famed Weslaco Student Band Plans ConcertRI(Special to The Herald)WESLACO, April 19—The Weslaco high school band, under the direction of L P. Reits. will present a concert at the Stephen P. Austin school auditorium Sunday at 4 p. m. This will be the band's first concert since they returned from the state meet, except for a short concert oomposed of three marches, which they played after a marching parade down town Thursday morning.The program for Sunday is as follows: March, Old Comrades— Teike; Dear Old South, a medley of southern favorites; Trumpet trio, Triplets of the Finest, Rankin Con will. Prank Port, Ruth Jones; saxophone quartette. Memories of Stephen Poster, Mildred Cannon, Gene Vaughn, Annie Merle Langford. Ted Cressner: march. American Legion—Parker, band; overture, Atlantis — Safranek, band; trombone colo, Castles in the Air— Smith, Tom Carpenter; brass quartette. Old Kentucky Home, Ranking Conwill, Marion Busby, Enin Mills. Ruth Jones; overture, Panorama—Bamouse, band; march Sons of the Brave, Bidgood. band.The personnel of the band is composed of students from the 6th grade to ttype 11th.
