FORMER RESIDENT WRITES FROM FAR OUT IN WYOMINGThe firm of L. Thorn Sons offer us the following interesting letter by a former resident of the county:“Basin, Wyo., April 6. “Mr L. Thorn; Dear Sir:“I thought I would write to you as I said I would and tell you all I know about this country. There is some nice country in here but it has to be irrigated. They sure grow some fine wheat and they also grow oats, alfalfa and all kinds of vegetables and sugar beets. There are some good homestead land but I haven’t filed on any yet. I think I will file on a 640 acre grazing homestead in the mountains. I will have to stoy with it 3 years to prove upon tit.“Can you use any yellow clover seed in the fall? They use it for fertilizer. It will yield about as much as alfalfa and has about the same feeding quality. It may be good for that country.“Well, I have written about all I know for this time. I will learn all I can about the country and write to you again. Yours truly,“effie McDonald.”
