Brief Abstract of the Proceedings or chc Louisville Presbytery.Presbytery met in Middletown, Tuesday, April 10, 186G, at 11 o’clock A. M.,and closed its sessions at 10 o’clock on Friday night following.Kev. W. W. Duncan, the Moderator, preached the opening sermon, from Rev. *912-17.Rev. J. N. Saunders, wa9 elected Moderator, and Rev. 1. W. Canfield, temporary Clerk.Twenty Ministers and nineteen ruling Elders were enrolled.Rev. John McCrae was dismissed to the Presbytery of New Albany; Rev. H. T. Morton to the Presbytery of Memphis, and Mr A. N. Keigwin licentiate to the Presbytery of Rock River.Rev. T. D. Lea, of the Presbytery of East Mississippi, was received as a member of Presbytery.A call from the 4th church, Louisville, for the pastoral services of Mr- R. Car* son, was presented to Presbytery, and being found in order was put into his hands, and he signified his acceptance of the same.Rev. John C. Young tendered to Presbytery the resignation of the pastoral relation between himself and the Second church, Louisville. Mr. Hamilton Pope, on the part of the congregation, stated that they united with Mr. Young in the request. The request was accordingly granted, and Rev. 8. Robinson, was directed to preach in the pulpit and de. clare the pastoral relation between Mr. Young and the church dissolved.Being called upon, Rev. Dr. Robinson gave reasons for his absence from the sessions of Presbytery for the last three years and a half. On motion to sustain, the ayes and noes were called with theAtirm men
