Library week brings art, amnesty, comics contestTWIN FALLS — The second annual art show will be held at the Twin Falls Public Library April IB to 30 in conjunction with National Library Week. April IB to 23.The works of Magic Valley artists will be on display at the library, and will be sold to the public.An art show reception is scheduled for Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. The library purchase will be announced an other works may be purchased from the artisis.Other events scheduled are:A Comic Character Popularity Contest. April 18 to 22. gives persons of all ages a chance to vote for their favorite cartoon or comic book character. The voting will take place downstairs.Saturday at 11 a.m. the library will hold a .Comics Celebration downstairs. The programwill feature the favorite comic hook character, stories, and activities.Amnesty Week lias been declared for April IB to 23. All overdue materials returned to the library during that time will have no fines assessed.A Scotch Auction April IB to 23 will offer discarded library materials for sale. All materials will be priced initially at $5 and the price will decrease a dollar per day with a final price of 50 cents on Saturday.A photography series is being presented by Eastman Kodak each Tuesday night in April at7:30 p.m.Thursday, the library celebrates National Food Day. Displays will show alternate protein sources, recipes and food books.The library encourages the public to attend any scheduled event.
