VDISASTROUS FIRE.Daniel Kerschner’s Home, North of the City, Burned to the Ground' ThisMorning.Thursday’s Daily.Shortly after 9:30 o’clock, this morning, the two-story frame dwelling house of Daniel Kerschoer, two and a half miles north of the city, on the Milton pike, was discovered to be on lire. The lire caught from a defective Hue in the kitchen and spread rapidly.When assistance arrived it was found that the house could not be saved, so the efforts of the neighbors were devoted to saving the household goods and the out buildings. Fortunately, at the home of Simon Osthei-mer, a near neighbor, eight men were grinding feed, and when the tire was discovered, they immediately lent their assistance and succeeded in saviDg nearly all the household goods and prevented the fire from spreading. The house was completely destroyed. It was valued at §1,500 and was insured for §500 ia the Continental. Mr. Kerschner had au insurance of §350 on his household goods, butthese were nearly all saved.
