Edward Caskey Cast In Newest*Playmaker ShowTaking the male lead in the Potomac Playmaker's final show of the 1953-54 season, “Affairs of State”, is one of the newest lights upon the local stage scene, Ed Caskey.Caskey stars as Senator Russellin the local drama group's pres* entation of the smart Broadway hit which opens at the Women's Club next Tuesday, April 20, for a five-day run.A newcomer to the Playmaker stage, Caskey first became interested in dramatics in thelt; Photo by TImmonB)EDWARD CASKEYBeaux Arts Club at Maryland Institute. After appearing with various dramatic clubs during his Army service, Caskey was also seen with the Fairchild Variety Club. “Affairs of Slate” is his first Playmaker show.The comedy also features Jane Guyton, Betty Jane Bupp, Bill Barr, Evan Crossley and Ed Grout. Directed by Bill Barr, it will appear at the Women’s Club April 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24.Admission is by season ticket or individual tickets purchased atthe door, but Playmaker President Mrs. William C. Barr warned local audiences today that the show will be a smash hit. Good ’ seat will be more readily available in the early part of the show's run she said. Curtain time will be 8:15 p. m.
