Peter Wright, a pionee I' | preacher of the Church of Christ To this union were born thlr teen children, seven of whom an living, four boys and three girls n When a young man, he gavlt; »* his heart to the dear Savior. anlt; for nearly sixty years lived ai d exemplary Christian life. Fo , forty years was a deacon in thlt; t- Old Union congregation in thii n county. Uncle Adam was a wise prudent mao, very industrious ►. and by hard work and good tr.an e agement gained a good fortum r in this world. He was free fro a d selfishness, kind hearted anc i, loved by all. Bro. Sears wai y one of the good old fathers ok b whose shoulders the cares anc burdens of the church rested foi 11years, lived to see these duties laid on the shoulders of anotbei generation, who already enjoy r the harvest that was planted by r others. There are many to beai testimony to the charity, the kindness and benevolence of this good man. He was of that class Hof which it was said “Blessed are the Meek/* But we are told* that those who die in the Lord, | rest from their labors and their works do follow them. The details of his life cannot be giren I here, but in his home, in the 1 neighborhood and in the house of God. every where, he was the same patient loving father and companion. He leaves an nged companion, sons and daughters to mourn, while the entire com muoity extend its deep sympathy.
