Velma MarshallWinlock native Velma Marshall of Vancouver, Wash., died Saturday, Apnl 10. at an adult family home in Vancouver.Bom Sept 11, 1907, to Roy and Ethel (McKay) Crocker, she graduated from Winlock High School in 1926 and attended Bellingham Normal Schtx)l from 1928-29.On Aug. 4, 1929, she married Edgar L. Marshall. She also lived in Ryderwood for 22 years, Gardiner, Ore for 30 years, Vancouver with her daughter for 17 years, and the past two years in an adult family home. Her husband died in 1980.She worked for a florist and gift shop in Reedsport, Ore. Her enjoyments were working crosswordpuzzles, knitting, crocheting, needlework, gardening, floral arranging, sewing, reading, and playing piano-saxophone duets with her husband for many social events.Her memberships included Order of Eastern Star, serving as worthy matron; lifetime member and past noble grand of Rebekah Lodge; and a member since 1940 of Reedsport Methodist Church.Survivors include two sons, Robert L. of Winlock and Thomas A. of Gardiner; a daughter, Lonnie Un-terwegner of Vancouver, a sister, Vivian Claire Byrd of Winlock; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.Her grandson.
