fomtsutcidl'In the mail from’a resident at the Atchison County Nursing Home a tribute to Ewing Bratton, 91, who died last week, the writer wishing to remain anonymous: “Ewing Bratton, lovingly called ‘Papa* by the other residents of A.C.N.H. passed on to his other home Tuesday. Three times aday as he arose from the table he raised a hand to salute and said ‘have a nice day everybody!’ And then he would proceed to do all he could to make it a nice day for everybody. He was happy when he could help the boys with their chores. He loved to push the wheel chairs of his friends. After he got so weak he could hardly push them, he would go early and stop along the way to rest, then get up when they came along and push their chairs the rest of the way to the dining room and tables. He liked to sing and read his Bible. He had sung inhis church choir most of his life.
