/Plans Begun for Tama Pow-wowDefinite dates for the annual powwow at the Mesquakie Indian reservation in Tama county have been set and plans are getting under way, according to George Young Bear. The big Indian exposition will b^ held August 18th to 21st, it was decided at a meeting of the pow-wow committee. An elaborate advertising campaign is being planned to draw bigger crowds than ever to Iowa’s last strongholfi of the red man. The usual Indian dances and ceremonials will again feature the program, in addition to displays of the various articles the Indians manufacture and of agricultural produce raised by the Mesquakie farmers.
