This may he true from a certain stand point, hut it is not true from the stand point of genuine enjoyment, solid comfort, and pleasant happenings. Indeed there are no more pleasant occasions than those social gatherings among farmers, especially those arranged in the form of a “surprise” to some old settler or respected neighbor.
