Pas on Monday night.SIXTY YEARS AGO,1939HERE and THERE: An enthusiastic group of farmers and others of the Minitonas community met in the United Church Hall Wednesday afternoon, April 5th, to organize a local branch of the United Farmers of Manitoba. Mr. J. W. Campbell was elected president, with Mr. A. Ireland as vice president. FI. J. Harland was appointed secretary. The list of directors accepted included: Messrs. A. Fulford, W. Leslie, Carl Hart, C. S. Perry, H. Niven, Geo. A. Cleaveley, Joe Beselt and W. Garrioch.The Lenswood W.I. is sponsoring the erection of a building to serve as a librarv, clubroom and Community» ' mHall. The site was donated by Mr. W. Hiscock and the building logs by Roger Lystrom. Hauling of material and the work of construction is being undertaken by the men of the district.
