Culver signsHOLLYWOOD (AP) — Carmen Culver has been signed by producer Stan Margulies to write the television miniseries adaptation of “The Thorn Birds.”The runaway best seller by Colleen McCullough about life in New Zealand and Australia will be made into an eight-hour “ABC Novel For Television.”Miss Culver recently completed an adaptation of Agatha Christie’s “Murder Is Easy for Margulies and David Wolper. She has also written “First You Cry” and “To Race the Wind.”
