The two Emmetsburg youths recovered belongings from two churches while fishing near. Emmetsburg at the Burns Bridge. The boys discovered the stolen crucifixes and candle holders^ vases and bells under; the bridge.Upon making their discovery ttjey raced to the city police station for heipand took police back to the river to show officers where the stolen goods were.Bill Bilttner is the son ot Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Biittner and Steve Kelly is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Kelly.The church belongings were stolen some weeks ago, early thisyear. Although the fishing wasn't the greatest these boys did make •a priie catch that they can be very proud of. .. iOne day prior to this Lloyd 8ates of Emmetsburg, was looking over an abandoned car near Emmetsburg and found fhe two microphones which were taken ir. the same robberies as the altar pieces.
