STAGE MINSTRELSFAIR OAKS LODGE GIVES COLORFUL SHOW CABARETSCENE IS HITTuneful melodies, red-hot jazzy, realistic “Colored Gentlemen,” a southern plantation scene and the “Fair Oaks Cabaret” were all features of the minstrel show staged Thursday evening,April 12, by Fair Oaks Lodge No. 1006, A. F. and A. M., at the Masonic Temple. There were two specialty numbers; Pat O'Day, the California comedian in a monologue and collection of songs, and the Wintcrgarden Four in “A Riot of Music.” Mr. H. E. Wright was the director and Thomas Bruce Evans the interlocutor.The show was in two scenes, the first being the typical setting for a minstrel show and the second, a cabaret, which proved a delightful novelty. Hits of the evening included : “Shh—HereComes My Surgar” with banjo accompaniment sung by Thomas B. Roberts and Thomas B. Roberts, Jr.; “Pale Moon,” an Indian costume song sung by Addison E.
