Doobies Add toIn their current tour starting with Southern and Southwesten states, the popular rock group, the Doobie Brothers, has played in seven Texas cities. Friday, April 25, at 8 p m. the Doobie's will add El Paso totheir list as they perform in a fillmore (no chairs) seating concert at the El Paso Civic Center.The current tour started in Hollywood, Florida April 4 and will conclude in Seattle,Washngton May 18. The group will perform in Albuquerque following their El Paso engagement.The Doobie Brothers gained quick popularity after their first hit “Listen to the Music,” in 1972. They quickly followed their initial success with songs such as “Long Train Running,” “Another Park, Another Sunday” and their current hit “Black Water.” “BlackWater” has been on the Billboard pop charts for 15 weeks. The song is more musically complicated than their earliest hit,Tickets are still available at the Civic Center box office, Central Ticket Agency, and Kurland-Salzman music stores.
