Record on ReviewThe Buffalo Springfield:This is the first album by a talented group which has been very popular on the west coast for a long time. All the tracks on the album were written by the Buffalo Springfield’s two lead guitar players—Steve Stills and Neil Young. The songs include: “For What It’s Worth.“ their hit single; “Go and Say Goodbye,” a unique blend of country-western guitar playing and folk-rock singing; “Sit Down I Think I Love You,” written by Steve Stills and now a hit single released by the Mojo Men.The rest of the cuts provide a variety of intriguing dual guitar leads combined with a sometimes monotonous type singing. They blend psychocTelic-folk-rock singing with psycho-delic-country - western guitarsand produce a style all their own. So, For What it’s Worth, this is the first of many from the talented Buffalo Springfield.—Jay Saul
