He was afflicted wilih leukemia, a disease of tho blood in which there arc too many white corpuscles caused by failure of the spleen to function normally, and he had had tfhe disease two years, ■Death took place at Humboldt a week ago Saturday, and funeral services were conducted at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Humboldt, Tuesday, with burial in the -Bancroft cemetery.-Born Mardh 5, 1800, at Humboldt, veral Newbrough was only 44, his death following within a week of his birthday. lie w3 the youngest son of his parents, John and Ellen Newbrougfh. On December 27, 1922,■ mi h he was (married to Anna Long, I Hurt, and, besides the widow, one 'I son, Donald, survives.- } JMr. Newbrough’s father, 87, survives at Lone Rock, also a brother, -Delbert, Lone -Rock, and two sisters, Mrs. Julia Terwilliger and (Mrs. Cora Terwilliger, both ofHumboldt, a half-sister, Mrs. A, A. 'Porter, lives at Fort Worth, Tex.Mr. Newbrough was a World war veteran wlho served overseas and was pounded in action. His pall bearers, all ex-service men, were Fred Flaig, T’hos.
