Snow and Mrs.D. E. Headon, associate hostesses. Mrs. J. P. Atkina, the chaplainconducted tha devotional*, reading a portion of the 32nd chapter of Matthew, closing with a prayer. In the ahaence of the regent, Mra. Clay Ring, the vice regent, Mra. E. N. Allen, was in the chair and presided ovsrr the usual routine. Mra. Carl R. Jfer-ner called the roll and read the secretary’# report. Mra. Zaek t*. WhitaVer gave the treasurer's report. Interesting reporta of theconvention held in Charlotte,March 85 and II, were given by Meadainea Whitaker and Kerner.Mra. Frank Whitaker, programchairman, presented Mrs. Carl Kerner, who presented a most Interesting paper on the “Causes of the American Revolution.** Mra. Kerner read exerpts on the subject takrm from an American hlatory of 1121. A round table discussion followed. At the conclusion of the meeting, the hostesses assisted by Misa Doris Allen served refreshments in two courses to the following member: Memlames Carl Kerner, J.P. Atkina, Same F. Vance, Jr.,E. N. Allen, Philip Korner, Zack U Whitaker, Frank Whitaker' and Mia* Margaret Allen. The May meeting will meet with Mrs. Sam F. Vance, Jr., and Mra. Phillip I* Kornwr.
