SUCCESSFUL TERM CLOSED.Last Friday night will long be remembered by the people of Oakland district as one of the most pleasant evenings they ever spent. The occasion being the last day of school, and it was celebrated by dialogues, speeches and songs, nicely arranged by the teacher, Miss Elsie Reid. The house was crowded long before time for the entertainment to begin, there being about 200 present. At a late hour they all departed wishing Miss Reid many more as successful terms. Miss Reid will leave Wednesday, for Terre Haute, where she will attend the State Normal School.
