Anthony cag* ers Again in the 1939-1940 season.Their appointment was announced Tuesday night at the annual banquet given for the club at the Venetian cafe.It was also announced by Manager William J. Consol that next season the team will be coached by Albert DiFalco and Pete Buffone, Buff one is retiring from active competition, but DiFalco will continue as a player. Consol will continue as manager and director of the club, a capacity in which he has served for the last seven years.The Saints, 1938 champions ofthe Parish league and, runners-up for the. same honors this last season, are the oldest organized basketball team in the Steubenvilledistrict, having been in action on the court yearly since the 1920-31 season.Rev, Paul L. Richter, of St. Anthony’s church, and Police Chief Ross H. Cunningham were the principal speakers, on the banquet program. The team members were complimented for their individual efforts and for their work together and Manager Consol and others connected with the team were eulogized for their interest and services to the boys,Rev. Richter made the presentation to the team members of theminiature silver basketballs earned in the Community Center league. Those receiving the awards were Co-captains Marius and Tony Gar-agalo, Pete Buffone, Harry Buffone, Charles Buccierl, Charles Fatigate, John Fornsagllo, PanFaccuito, Frank lopresto, VirgilGillette, Albert DiFalco and MikeQiaamore. The event will include doubles and singles competition and is expected to attract approximately' 50 entries.
