Mon Valley Catholic Presents Musical Show on ThursdayMonongahela Valley Catholic High School will present “Man and Music” a two-part musical show with more than 100 voices.The annual Spring Festival, under the direction of Sister Sylvia, director of music at M o n Valley Catholic High School, will be staged at 8 p ra. Thursday in the school auditorium.The Spartan Marching Band, the Mon Valley Jazz Band, Girl and Boy Chorus, Valley VoicesAppalachia Aid Extension Bill Moves AheadWASHINGTON CUPI — A $273.6 million bill to extend the life of the aid-to-Appaiachia program through 1969 was approved Monday by the Senate Public Works Committee.and the Dandy Dancers will offer 19 selections during the two-hour show.Songs from 10 Broadway hits will be featured.The Special Chorus will sing selections from State Fair and The Sound of Music. The Girls Chorus will borrow from West Side Story while the Boys Chorus has chosen from My Fair Lady.Mary Elizabeth DuVall, Joseph LaMendola, Chris Baciak, Vincent Kerfonta, Lois Shaeffer and Kathy Kraus are among the soloists.Miss DuVall and Alida Bun-ardzya will also participate in dances while the school’s Ballerinas will do a selection from The King and I.The Glee Club has picked The Sound of Music while the Jazz Band will do selections from Maine and Hello, Dolly.
