LYNDHTJRST TOWED IN.■ • iTank Steamer Housatonic Turns Back toAid the Bark.The British tank steamer Housatonic, which sailed from here yesterday for London towed in to-day the four masted British hark Lyndburst, which has been anchored off Fire Island for two days past signaling for assistance. The Housatonic stayed by the vessel all night and started to tow her at 6:27 this morning, but in a short time the tow line parted.At 9 A. M. another line was stretched between the vessels and they started for this port. The tug Wrestler, which was towing the bark from Boston, hut had been unable to tow her further, was kept alongside the bark but had no line out. The Lyndhurst, which recently discharged a cargo of sugar from Java at Boston, is coming here consigned to Philip Ruprecht.
