Handmade Quilts Are April Exhibit At CenterOf all American folk arts, quilts have probably been the most popular. Old ones are sought out and highly valued while quilts made today prove current needle skills for the collectors of tomorrow.Quilts have been utilitarian as well as creative. They may be as difficult and challenging as the talent of their makers permit. They offer a multitude of effects limited only by the imagination and craf tsmenship of those who made them. The Sandusky Area Cultural Center is providing quilts from local sources as the major exhibit for April. The Erie County Historical Society is cooperating in the exhibit and will host a tea on Sunday when the exhibit opens. The exhibit showing is always free to the public. The center is located at the rear of Sandusky High School and ample parking is available. Hours are 1-4 p.m. Sundays; 1-5 p.m. weekdays; 7-9 p.m. Thursdays.Western ArtIc Pnn+imm®mammm
