TEEN TIMEbyToddie '• 'PINK ELEPHANTS, GREEN LIONSAt the uBig Top Fantasy” last Friday many cats thought they had gone Napa when they spotted pink elephants, green lions andyellow seals on -the. walls. It turns out that Art ^club and Piano club did some fine fixing and really made the feline gym .look like a circus. In a real craz-daze Don Christiansen, Denny Bowman, and Eddie Kibbe spent many moments matching pennies to see who would buy the next round of Cokes. Seems like Chris’* was odd-man .every time. These weren’t the only guys in need of quickpick-up; crowding the Coke-stand after a wild bop were hipsters Dave Eamm, Louie Reed, Tony DelRio, Ed Volpe and Gil Hyder, Chicks Pat Schwartz, Peggy Ewing, Barbara Worsham, Dot DcShon, Ginry Griffen, and Donna Rac Evans went crazy watching these fellow's beat-leet to a mean rhythm. When the dance ended the '‘big-top” was lowered and there was a mad rush forthe big bunch of balloons in the center.* ■ *FEMALE FANS ...Last Thursday proved a fateful day when a car load of cats cut-out for Castlemottt to watch the Farmer nine at work. Gail Jamison, Marolyn Green. Diane Thorndike, Bette Burrowes, and Diane Yettiek arrived at the Knights castle only to find that they had been ranked. After driving through a group of Cadets and G.A.A,ers they finally decided that the game was elsewhere Hitting upon the idea of asking where it was they got results and pushed into the bleachers to find Peggy Todd, Connie Johnson, Lauralee Dobbel, Gloria Chemorro and Judy Primrose holding down the fort. The trip home was uneventful EXCEPT they ran out of gas and lost a hub cap twice! If it hadn’t been for Denny Bowman and Charles Thorndike, two knights-ln-shining-armor (namely.a Ford), these gals might still be stranded,4 « •CATS DINE WITH COMO . . .Before going to the “Big Top,” last Friday, Norma Bay had a group of cats collected at her house for dinner. While Jerry Kerr, Diane Meyer, and Connie Johnson were watching the French bread burn, Gayle Jackson, Bette Burrowes, and Merry Dillon were arguing over who would get the chocolate milk.Suzie Close, Gail Jamison, and Diane Yettiek were discussing whether or not another head of lettuce should be added to thesalad while Norma and Mrs, Bay guarded the main-meal. Finallyeveryone settled back to eating when suddenly Perry Comojoined them (via T.V.). The gals went crazy as Perry crooned “Wanted.♦ * *COOL AFTER-CIRCUS TREAT ,. .The circus being the dance, held at HHS last Friday, and the treat being the cool gathering held at Francis Estaben’s home after the dance. Those cats that were clued in about this hep-hop wereIrene Bunting, Gait Conde, Judy Howe, Norma Weig, Craig Cow- .gill, Johnny Olson, Rich Pennington, Howie Thompson. (We hearthey had many LAUGHS )* * * *THE SKY'S THE LIMIT . . .This was the word that Hayward’s frantic first year cats passed around' at their recent box‘social. Barbara Wolly, frosh prexy, Jane Goeff, Sue Heigley, Arlene Maggi, anjl Elaine De-Petro were some of the kittens that supplied the box dinners while such cats as Jack Holland, Jerr Lundgren, Jerry Buck, Bob Gdermatt and Tom Plant, Jr., supplied the bidding material. After feeding their faces everyone'enjoyed a dance that was the greatest, A lot of the sucess of the evening was due to the swell job of fast talking done by Pat; Quigley-.and Keith' Yettiek,. who were auctioneers, Congrats should go to Barbara and her fellow frosh who helped make their first money raising project a success,* * • *FELLOWS FLOCK TO WILD ONE ...“The Wind One,’’ which played at the Ritz theater last week end seemed to give some of the local kittens competition, because among some of the fellows that showed up there Saturday night' without dates were Bob Bresniker, Larry Lambert, Pat Keilty, Joe Ashley, LeRoy Pegis, Ken Vierria, Rich Jardine, Ev “Cut-Out” Pashon, and quite a few Rebels,,
