Wood Proven a Nuisance.Drar Wood, Senior Class president, was proven a nuisance Wedneday afternoon at the Shelbyville High Scvhool, this decision having been reached by a jury of twelve pupils of the school a few- minutes before six o'clock. Wood, it was proved, was an all around bothersome boy about the schools. He is said to have played cards and imbibed cider in Prof. Peters’ class room. It was also -proven that he delayed several of the girls in the school when they were on their way to their classes, causing them to be tardy.The jury on the first ballot found the defendant guilty 'as charged, but several more ballots were necessary on agreeing on the fine that should be imposed. The jury finally agreed to hand the president an asessment of 199.99. which he stayed and. was released by the oourt.The following composed the jury: Edith Duncan, Paul Cross, Russell Robinson, Helen Brown, Leora Griffin, Goldie Lee, Juanita Haymond,1 Lillian Rafferty, Carol Melks, Ruth Long, Otis Valentine (foreman) and Esther Speagle.Prof J. S. Johnson acted as judge of the court. Mlse iRuth Williams was clerk and Chez Marshall, bailiff. Car! Girton was prosecuting attorney.
