The Rev. Richard C. Fry officiated.Jeanne Roberta Thomas and Mrs. Garland Vernon Smith were the honor attendants for their sister in raspberry chiffon over taffeta. Similarly gowned bridesmaids were Dor-lane Ann Neary* San Bruno; Jean Campbell, Ventura; Erika M. Schreiner, San Bruno, and Ann Whitney, Santa Barbara. The flower girls, Alison Elizabeth and Aileen Erin Smith, are nieces of the bride.Joyce, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Marvin Thoma* of San Bruno, wore a white floor-length gown of organza over taffeta detailed with reembroidered Alencon lace. She added lace-edged mantilla and carried white roses.Steven Kimball Carey was the best man for his twin brother. Both are the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Adrian Carey of Long Beach. Seating the guests were Joseph J. Balke, Long Beach; Philip Rodney Kimball, cousin of the benedict: David Jay Ritchie. Long Beach; John Melvin Thomas, brother of the bride, and Jeffrey Lee White, Long Beach.The couple received felicitations at a champagne buffet at the Lazy V. Restaurant and later left for a wedding trip through the western states.They will live in Goleta, and both will study music at the University of California at Santa Barbara. Joyce will finish her graduate study and Stanton will receive his bachelor's degree.....
