Fairfield, Sept. 9, —Judge D. M. Anderson of Albia will open the Sep tember term of the district court in‘ Fairfield’ on Monday, September 11, and the three weeks following will from all indications, be busy ones for Judge, Jory and attorneys. The mem bers of the grand jury are called for Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and will probably be in session several days. Thus far there is but one crim inal case on the docket which will de mand the attention of the grand jury but it is probable that other matters will be called to their notice, But five petitions for divorce have been filed for this term. They are follows: Bertha Verne Woolume vs. C. H. Woolums; Jesse C. Ramey vs. Lydia Ramey; Anna Looney vs. A. H. Tooney; Flora B. Kauffman vs. 1, 8 Kauffman; Hazel Evang vs. John S. Evans. The chancery docket is quite heavy at this time and although there are no sensational canes to be tried there will be plenty to hold the attention of the court, during the entire term.
